Contribution to the Magazine
Chris Fellows has been the operational backbone of Direct Driller magazine since its founding, managing content across all 31 issues. Key contributions include:
- Writing the Groundswell 2018 show report (Issue 3) and AHDB Monitor Farm report (Issue 3)
- Managing the magazine’s transition from quarterly print to digital distribution
- Overseeing the expansion from 48 pages (Issue 1) to 100-page format (Issue 3 onwards)
- Co-organising the Covering Soils event series (TWB Farms 2023, Scotland 2024)
- Managing advertising and industry relationships
- Facilitating the Direct Driller live event (Bygrave Woods, June 2024)
- Coordinating with co-editors Mike Donovan (founding editor) and Tom Allen-Stevens (BOFIN, from Issue 24)
The magazine’s growth from a niche publication to a recognised force in UK conservation agriculture knowledge transfer owes much to Chris’s consistent editorial management.
